Zip it

Before the wedding

As I was preparing myself for the biggest day of my life, I asked myself ‘why does every woman in the universe dream of wearing the white gown?’
“Come on, suck in your stomach just a bit more so I can close the zipper”, I was turning blue as my maid of honor asked me for the 10th time to do so.
“Bring me something to drink, my mouth is dry” it’s amazing how you become when you are stressed,  I finished two liters of lemonade and I still felt thirsty.
And the ugliest thing happened, the zipper got stuck mid-way up, and I had ALL the family pulling it up together. I always heard that in weddings strange things happen, unexpected things happen, but THIS, THE ZIPPER.
“Pull it, come onnn” I was screaming.
“Come on sweetie things will be fine, stop crying for God’s sake, you’re ruining your make up, come on STOP IT” my mother screamed. “I will sew it for you, don’t worry darling” she added.

After the wedding

“It was amazing… I love you” I said to my handsome groom while approaching the hotel room, and we were drunk.
“ Pull sweetie, take this thing off of me”, I was screaming at 2 in the morning “Ok, stop stop, call the reception to send us someone and some champagne or something to drink”.
What I remember that night was drinking so much that I passed away, what I know is that the waiter came up that night to help us, we were already drunk and we invited him for a drink, and I spent my night with him while my drunk ex-husband was trying hard to sew the gown before it was time to return it.
